The University of Nantes and the IUML are launching a 100% online and free training course on the theme of the “blue economy”.

The Mer et Littoral University Institute and the Continuing Education Department of the University of Nantes have been awarded the responsibility for the UNIT 6 of the European INTERREG Atlantic Area “FANBEST (https://fanbest.eu/ )” project. One of the key objectives of the FANBEST project is to run free and 100% online training related to entrepreneur ship and Blue Economy. Managed by the Innovation Hub of the Pays de la Loire Region, Atlanpole (https://fanbest.eu/, partner of the project) the training programme consists of 6 Units.

The UNIT 6 of the training programme consists of a series of 6 webinars, each covering one of the following Blue Economy sectors : marine renewable energies, marine biological resources, oil & gas, maritime transport, marine/coastal tourism and emerging sectors (e.g blue biotechnologies). Each webinar will address interdisciplinary issues such as market characterization, driving policies and key challenges and opportunities.

Coming from the European Union or the United Kingdom, the audiences for this training come from various private and public professional backgrounds: entrepreneurs, business leaders, researchers, advisers to incubation agencies, in charge of promotion of research. All have in common the objective of knowing the socio-economic context conducive to the development of innovative activities in the field of blue growth.
