The overall experience is a high energy, informative and fun event that participants will remember, learning new ways of problem solving, gaining a more diverse network and if successful a potential opportunity to continue on the idea

The Hackathon will focus on innovation through collaboration, encouraging and advancing solutions to problems facing blue growth. Engineers, scientists, researchers, entrepreneurs, marketers, business owners, business developers and all those with a genuine interest in adding their thoughts and creative ideas to help solve and promote the problems currently facing the blue economy will be invited.

The specific challenges will be published a week before the event and will fall under the five main areas of the FANBEST project: aquaculture, coastal tourism, marine biotechnology, ocean energy and seabed mining.
