FanBest was represented by the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce at the Engineering and Manufacturing Forum on Sustainable Manufacturing

Over 70 delegates attended the Engineering & Manufacturing Review on 28th February at Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce. The FANBEST team was also attending and promoting the project to businesses in the room.

During this event, Crystal Door, told us about their journey to sustainability and how they used Digital Transformation to successfully achieve growth. Through changes such as using a biomass burner, Crystal Door has a target of becoming carbon neutral by 2030 and was recently a finalist at The Manufacturer Sustainable Manufacturing award.

It was also a great opportunity to hear about the Manufacturing and Engineering Report findings, giving us great insights on what to expect in these sectors. This survey took place at the end of 2019 in the UK and Brexit was high on the agenda in terms of concerns for UK businesses but overall, the results were optimistic with over 70% of respondents anticipating growth over the next 12 months.

Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce will also run an event focusing on renewable energy on 17th June 2020 – for more information please email fanbest@gmchamber.co.uk.
